Monty Yolles is Smokeball’s Personal Injury Advisor, helping the company better serve its clients by navigating the intricate anatomy of PI matters. For 32 years, Monty has managed his own personal injury firm in Gaithersburg, Maryland—a god-forsaken contributory negligence jurisdiction.
A Smokeball client for over seven years, Monty loves the intersection of legal practice and modern technology. His firm handles auto torts, with a particular affinity for motorcycle cases, alongside premises liability and dog bite matters (though he usually roots for the dog).
Personally, Monty has been married to Staci for 34 years. They have three adult children, one of whom he unfortunately could not talk out of going to law school. Monty is also an avid ice hockey fan who is always happy to discuss the sport with anyone, anytime.
Krista Lugo is the Vice President of Client Success at Smokeball, where she continually refines the systems, structure, and strategy that turn software into lasting client outcomes. She joined in 2021 to lead Client Onboarding, stepped into the VP role within a year, and hasn't slowed down since — reorganizing the Client Success team around smart segmentation and driving significant gains in client retention.
Krista is a passionate advocate for AI — not as a replacement for people, but as the thing that frees them to do their best, most meaningful work. She's driving that adoption both for Smokeball's clients and within her own teams, and recently took the stage at ChurnZero's "Zero In" conference to present on Client Success strategies for other tech leaders.
