From today, you'll notice a new look for Smokeball: new colors, a new logo, and a fresher feel across everything from our website to our product. When we started Smokeball, there was one thing we wanted to prove: that nice guys can finish first. That you could build a genuinely good company that puts people first and still win. That's exactly what our community of clients, partners and our team have helped us do. We were all about the people on day one, and we're all about the people today.
As part of this refresh, you'll start seeing us talk about "powering people-law". It's more than a tagline to us; it's the whole reason Smokeball exists. Law has always been, and will always be, a people business. Behind every matter is a client going through something that matters deeply to them and a lawyer working hard to help them through it. Our job has never been to replace human connection with technology, it's to power it. To take the busywork off your plate so you have more time to focus on the people who need your help. That belief hasn't changed, we just finally have the words, and the look, to say it clearly.
What has changed is the size of the community we serve. We've grown into a global business, supporting law firms across Australia, the US, and the UK, but our brand hadn't quite kept pace with that growth. It didn't fully reflect who we'd become or the ambition we have, but this refresh is us closing that gap.
I want to be really clear about one thing: this is a refresh, not a reinvention. We're not becoming a different company, and nothing about how you work with us is changing. This is still the same Smokeball, with the same dedicated team, offering the same commitment to you, our clients. We've simply given ourselves a look and a voice that finally does justice to what we've built together.
I'm incredibly proud of this new chapter, but I'm even more proud of how we got here. It's a reflection of thousands of conversations with clients like you, of feedback we've taken seriously, and of a team that cares as much about getting this right as I do. None of it would have been possible without the trust you've placed in us over the years, and I don't take that lightly.
So, thank you. For choosing Smokeball, for growing with us, and for being part of a community that, at its heart, has always been about people helping people. I couldn't be more excited to take you all along on this next part of the journey with us.
