About this session
Who it's for
This session is designed for attorneys and law firm owners looking to ethically attract and retain clients while growing their practice.
What we cover
A practical guide to modern legal marketing covering compliance, strategy, and how to stand out without crossing ethical lines.
Why it matters
Discover actionable strategies to grow your firm, stay compliant with advertising rules, and confidently promote your practice.
In this free on-demand webinar, law firm marketing advisor Gyi Tsakalakis demystifies modern legal marketing and ethics in plain English—so you can stop guessing, start growing, and stay compliant while doing it.
Although law school teaches us to think like lawyers, it rarely teaches us how to ethically attract and retain clients. In today’s competitive legal market, understanding the intersection of marketing and ethics is critical.
Gyi will explain how to market your firm effectively without crossing professional boundaries, interpret key advertising rules, and avoid common pitfalls that can trip up even experienced attorneys.
You’ll also learn how to use social media, SEO, reviews, and email to attract the right clients while maintaining integrity and professionalism. Attorney Jordan Turk moderates this insightful session.
In this free on-demand webinar, you’ll learn:
- Identify and avoid common ethical pitfalls in legal marketing.
- Build a compliant marketing strategy that fits your brand and budget.
- Use digital tools—like SEO and social media—ethically to attract clients.

Jordan is a practicing attorney in Texas, and the Director of Attorney Education and Development at Smokeball. Her family law expertise includes complex property division and contentious custody cases, as well as appeals and prenuptial agreements. In addition to her family law practice, she’s passionate about legal technology and how it can revolutionize law firms.
Jordan graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Classics, History, and Religious Studies and then went on to attend the University of Arkansas School of Law to earn her J.D. After almost four years of practice with a high-asset family law firm in Houston (and after being frustrated at the lack of automation in her firm), she discovered the world of legal technology which ultimately brought her to Smokeball.
